How long does it take after the wedding before we get the license back from the courthouse?

As a rule of thumb, the courthouse says 4-6 weeks.  It has been my experience that it comes in 2-4 weeks. I send it in the day after the wedding.

Where do we get a Florida Marriage License?

Get your marriage license before you get married to make it official.

Here is State of Florida website for the Clerk of the Court for your county in Florida:
http://www.stateofflorida.com/clerks-of-court.aspx

Be Aware! 3 Day waiting period for Florida residents. Even though couples will get their license immediately, there will be a 3 day period for the license to become valid. This means Florida residents cannot marry until 3 days after receiving their marriage license. No waiting period for non Florida residents! Your marriage license is only valid for 60 days.

When can I change my name?

Social Security has a rule that the bride must file an SS-5 form (a new application form showing change of name and /or marital status) within the fiscal year for tax purposes, (The SS-5 form should be filed, even if you are keeping your own name) along with an original proof of marriage.

What are the best beaches to have my wedding ceremony?

Living in South Florida allows me the flexibility to officiate wedding ceremonies for all three counties: Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach. Whether it’s a Miami Beach wedding, Fort Lauderdale Beach wedding, or Palm Beach wedding, you’re in my neighborhood.

Key Biscayne: A paradise for weddings and eco-touring, this state park has plenty to do both on the water and ashore.

Dania Beach: Waterways and canals delight boaters, while antiques treasures draw crowds of a different kind. Quiet and quirky, Dania Beach is as unique as her visitors. John U LLoyd State Park has pavillions for rental on the beach.

Deerfield Beach: The City of Deerfield Beach has earned this award designation from the Clean Beach Council. This award is based on specific criteria, which include excellence in water quality, beach conditions, safety services, public information and habitat conservation.

Delray Beach: Known worldwide as a first-class resort town, Delray Beach is located in southern Palm Beach County. Delray Beach offers the visitor a full range of amenities and, of course, the incomparable beauty of nearly two miles of well-groomed, easily accessible beach.

Fort Lauderdale Beach: Picture-perfect palms, museums, botanic gardens and butterfly conservatories are just a few of the attractions this family-friendly beach offers.

Hollywood Beach: More affordable than its trendy neighbors, this Bohemian beach offers all the sights, sounds and sun at budget-friendly prices.

Miami Beach: Setting trends hotter than the thermometer can read, this city is the place to be seen - day or night. Shopping, sunbathing and clubbing can keep you busy around the clock
